Added "Christ We Do All Adore Thee" #475. Due to the large dynamic range of this song, I made the individual parts have a constant volume to make it easier to learn. The SATB file has all the dynamic controls included so you can hear what it should sound like.

Updated "Feed My Sheep" by Mark Hoyle and added "O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee" #413.. Also, the other day I added "Standing on the Promises" #355 but forgot to announce it here. Thanks goes to Gina Leong for sending me many songs in an almost finished form. Others will be appearing soon, but many unfortunately are copyrighted and can not be used currently.

Today I added a revised version of Mark Hoyle's "God Will Do Everything", and also added "O Priase the Lord" #108 from "Songs of the Kingdom".
I also added links to some interesting articles on the side menu. Don't prejudge these by the titles alone. They are written by authors with backgrounds in the church of Christ or Christian churches and have some interesting points to make.

Just to give you an idea of how this website is being used, in the last month there have been 1,100 distinct visitors from about 30 countries with a total of over 2000 song file downloads! The vast majority of you came here via ICOCINFO.ORG or the Disciples Today artcile.
Yesterday I added "Feed My Sheep" by Mark Hoyle. Today I added another song from one of the old songbooks, "Now the Day is Over". I also added "Breathe on Me, Breath of God", and "I Am Resolved" from SOTK.
For those who are downloading song files it would be great if you could share how you are putting them to use and the effect they are having - just leave an entry in the Guest Book. I know it would be encouraging to those contributing original songs to hear how they are used.

Today I added a new library, called "Special Collection". The first entry is the Hallelujah Chorus! This entry is used by permission of the NoteWorthy Scriptorium, which holds not only all of Handel's Messiah, but also a large collection of composers. It is worth browsing! I have adapted the file to make it more usable for vocal training.

Added a new new song library for two old songbooks: "Great Songs of the Church" and "Songs of the Church". Tonight I added two songs to this library: "Take Time to be Holy" and "The Church's One Foundation". These are two great hymns that we have gone without for too long!
Update: I initially forgot to move the files over, but they are there now!

NEW: After much work we now have a Newsletter mailing list connected with the website. Please read about it and sign-up. I've spent the past several days working to get this and the Guest Book operational. Now, I can get back to working on some songs! There are also several individuals working on some songs, and as those arrive our library should grow quite a bit.

IMPORTANT: If you bookmarked any of the internal pages to this website you need to redo them by starting at the home page. I just converted all the pages from HTML to PHP, so anything that links to a page with a .html suffix won't work (or at least it won't after I remove those files). I did add a redirect for the old home page to point to the new one. This allows me to maintain a single copy of the links on the right side of the page and to use the same copy on all pages. Much less work!
I also added a Guest Book for those who would like to leave comments. Next to be added is a sign-up for a mailing list. This was suggested by Geoff Fawcett (author of Hallelujah #202) as a means to provide some grass-roots level communication about new songs and songbook resources.

Added "On Zion's Glorious Summit". This is a great song that I remember we sang not quite precisely how the book showed it. I "tweaked" the file a bit (extra time on the "Holy"s ) to make it sound more like I remember and because I think it sounds better that way.

Tthe last couple of days have been spent enhancing the cosmetics of the site. Hopefully I can add a few more songs over the weekend. I would like to develop a list of songs to focus on so now would be a good time to submit your requests. Use the E-mail address on the "Contact Us" page.

In conversation with Jerry Maday, it occured to me that this would be a good place to have some of our songs from Children's Ministry - you know, the ones you can never remember how to sing! If anyone would like to compile some sheet music for some of those songs, and perhaps even produce the NoteWorthy files, that would be a great help! Of course, we could only use these if appropriate copyright status could be determined and were found to not be an issue!
