We have created a Newsletter mailing list to
which users of ICC Songs may subscribe (see link below). I am
asking and encouraging you to participate by subscribing to the
mailing list provided here. This is a voluntary subscription, but there really is no reason not to
because it is here to benefit you! As with any modern mailing list, you
have the ability to update your information and to unsubscribe at any
time. I do not anticipate heavy use of the newsletter, so
you should not have to be concerned with being swamped with E-mail.Why Subscribe? Reason #1This is your opportunity to participate in a unique effort to directly link disciples around the world with those who are writing songs and developing songbook resources. The credit for this idea goes to Geoff Fawcett - author/composer of Hallelujah #202 in "Songs of the Kingdom". He senses a need for a channel through which new songs can be distributed directly to interested disciples. Additionally, there are ideas and plans for new songbook materials and supplements which could benefit greatly from a direct link to those who are most interested. Geoff believes that the users of ICC Songs are just such a group. Why Subscribe? Reason #2A secondary reason to sign-up is that I can use the newsletter every month or two to inform you of new song additions to ICC Songs. That way, even if you forget to check the website for a while you would not miss out on songs you might be waiting for.Although this effort is not sponsored by DPI in any way, it is easy to see how there could be a mutual benefit between subscribers and DPI. So in an attempt to be forward thinking, I have included a check-box in the subscription form where you can indicate if the information you provide can be shared with DPI. That does not mean we will share it with DPI, it just clears the way in case it looks like there may be value to it later on. However, regardless of that, DPI would still be able to distribute information via the mailing list by submitting a request just as anyone else could. Apart from that possibility, the information will not be shared, sold, or provided to any other group, organization, or person.
